With 80 new brands following a £3 million refurbishment

On Thursday 22nd September, Camp Hopson Department Store in Newbury will open its doors following a major £3 million redevelopment, bringing over 80 new brands to store, complementing the already extensive brand mix including Jo Malone, Bobbi Brown, Longchamp, Polo Ralph Lauren and Hugo Boss.

The substantial redevelopment encompasses the 40,000 sq. ft. Northbrook Street Department Store dedicated to fashion, men’s, beauty and accessories brands, alongside the recently re-developed 22,000 sq. ft. Camp Hopson Home Store offering furniture, beds, carpets and homeware brands.

The new shopping environment will boast bright and airy interiors, providing a contemporary space catering to the needs of the 21st Century shopper, whilst externally remaining sympathetic to its heritage, dating back to 1921.

The renovation will see the launch of an impressive Beauty Hall, featuring a number of exclusive brands to Newbury such as Jo Malone, Bobbi Brown and Origins, as well as an all-new Beauty Room, complete with a Brow Bar and Nail Bar. Also on the Ground Floor will be fashion accessory brands including Longchamp, Aspinal and The Watch Station, together with an extensive Footwear Department, housing brands such as Dune and Van Dal.


Camp Hopson will feature the largest number of menswear brands under one roof in town, including Polo Ralph Lauren, Boss, Gant, Tommy Hilfiger, Thomas Pink and Moss Bros, as well as Barbour, Ted Baker and other favourites.

On the First Floor, Womenswear will also see a dramatic increase of new brands including Hobbs, Masai, Calvin Klein, White Stuff, Benetton and Tommy Hilfiger, set to compliment the brand new lingerie department. Following numerous customer requests, Childrenswear and Toys will also make a welcome return to Camp Hopson.

The Second Floor sees a brand new restaurant Angelica’s Terrace Café, offering a wide range of hot and cold foods, from breakfast to afternoon tea, set in a light, modern space.

The store will launch with a special event at 10am on Thursday 22nd September, with local MP Richard Benyon cutting the ribbon, followed by a series of exclusive offers, demonstrations and entertainment throughout the weekend.
