Nicola Blackwood MP Opens Gigaclear’s Expanded HQ

Nicola Blackwood, local MP for Oxford West and Abingdon, showed her support for the successful rural broadband provider, Gigaclear, as she opened its expanded office space at Abingdon Business Park on Friday (Friday 31st March 2017).

Gigaclear has recently secured a series of contracts to further expand its network as part of the BDUK programme which has led to an increase in staff. In order to accommodate this rapid growth, the company has acquired a further 5,907 sq ft office space for its headquarters on Windrush Court.

Mike Surrey, Chief Financial Officer at Gigaclear, comments: “It is a very exciting time for Gigaclear as we are experiencing continued business growth. The decision to base our headquarters at Abingdon Business Park was definitely the right one, as we have been able to expand our HQ space without having to move which is invaluable to the organisation. We are now one of many companies to call Abingdon Business Park home!”

Gigaclear builds and operates some of the fastest and most reliable broadband networks in the UK, transforming the lives of many rural homeowners and business. It provides access to Internet speeds of up to 1,000Mbps for both uploads and downloads, the downloads being up to 33 times faster* than the UK average. For more information, visit
